HyDeploy on campus

The buildings marked in green on the map below are part of the HyDeploy project. This area of the Keele private gas network has been carefully chosen because it can be easily isolated from the rest of the gas network, and minimises any disruption to the day to day activities of the University.

The map below shows the area of the campus that is part of the HyDeploy project.

Keele supporting HyDeploy

HyDeploy reflects Keele University’s commitment to world-leading research into environmental sustainability, and is part of the University’s innovative Smart Energy Network Demonstrator Programme (SEND).

HyDeploy is being led at Keele by the Directorate of Engagement and Partnerships, and the Estates and Development Directorate. Both teams have been closely involved with the planning phases. The Estates team will be a central point of contact for householders and communities in the proposed trial area.

Keele’s Material Sciences Department is carrying out some of the research to inform the technical aspects of HyDeploy.
